DIGITAL DINGOES- V
Digital Dingoes fifth EP was recorded in short periods of time, but several months apart. The music was done in June, but lyrics and vocals weren't done until November, 2015.

PERISCOPE BREATH: "Indoor Derivatives"
Now that 2015 is almost out, I have finally entered the murky world of recording on computer…here are the first experiments all performed/recorded/etc. in mid-November, 2015. More in a series of minimal/improv/noise/drone/experiments ideally played as background noise…enjoy?
As always, free downloads on Bandcamp:

New Track
I decided to give myself options when working on my contribution for the DEAD HELL IN A BUCKET compilation, and recently added lyrics/vocals to an un-used instrumental. Free on Bandcamp.

DEAD HELL IN A BUCKET: Compilation
KD featured on a brand spanking new compilation from Philadelphia's FORWARD FAST.
From Forward Fast:
"A (technically) international compilation of underground heavy hitters. Each song is exclusive to this compilation and otherwise unreleased. Tracks from: Ivan the Tolerable, The Retrouched Ecce Homo Band, Honey Radar, The Cats, Final Boss, David Kenneth Nance, Darlingchemicalia, Peter the Pianoeater, Kaleidoscope Death, Huh, and a recently unearthed collaboration between Northern Liberties and Towers. Pro dubbed tapes. Limited quantities. Cover artwork by Gregory Labold. Corporate rock still sucks."
I've got a handful of copies: $5 plus shipping (click bandcamp link below to order).
or order direct from the label: forwardfast.bigcartel.com/product/dead…ion-cassette
It's a nice variety of DIY/ homemade goodness…punk to pop to experimental, post-punk, etc. Non-professional in all the right ways!

Memory Disposal Pearl Liquor Plus
This one was started as Kaleidoscope Death's last album as a resident of Greensboro, NC. Then that was edited down and seemed to short (now side 1), and after about 25 different plans it turned into a 3-way split of one person's various solo projects, the rest (side 2) being recorded after moving to Baltimore, MD, with the final track list being finalized only days before release.
Kaleidoscope Death was without drums, let alone a place to record them, so turned to drum machines for it's sloppily tense post-punk (though the last two KD songs on side 2 use real drums), also experimenting with better recording technique and longer song length (some over 3 minutes!). Digital Dingoes continues it's electro-"pop" trajectory into more solid song structure and away from the intentional crappiness of the earliest releases. Periscope Breath makes one appearance of detuned, bowed string instrument chaos.

2 new Periscope Breath digital albums
Periscope Breath is just going to do digital releases for a while, and here are the first 2.
"Drybow Rubdown" features a variety of bowed instruments, but hardly any rosin on the bow.
"Rubble from Damp Hen Cellar" was recorded on 4-Track cassette instead of the usual digital 8-Track.
Both are free downloads.
In other news, the new KD release has turned into a split with Digital Dingoes, plus will feature some newer KD as well. It's still being recorded, but the end is near (I hope)!

STICKERS
Got me some fancy new vinyl stickers…lots of 'em. They come free with any order from KD or Uuhngreh Schpuggenuh, and are free in person. If you really want some send me a SASE (message me for address) and I'll send a few back.
In other news the new album has morphed into something else, a 2 or 3 way split with myself…a bit more time is needed.

Cleaning out the Closet
Here's the one outtake from Digital Dingoes' ///EP that I had already forgotten about…theory of obscurity means less with such a short attention span:

new album coming soon
The new album is all recorded! Mixing is on hold until I move to Baltimore, MD in a few weeks and it will hopefully be released in the next few months!
The album is all drum machine-backed because I no longer have drums, but I will definitely return to real drums for the next release. It's nice to change things up from time to time….

PERISCOPE BREATH- "Blind Miles"
Well, dang…another PB before another KD???
The new KD album is well under way (music is done, just needs vocals on a little more than half and there may even be a guest vocalist if all goes well), but due to lyrical frustration I just banged out another PB tape for the fun of it…and it might just be my favorite one yet. It's even slightly musical at times, which is aided by the complete lack of sampling old records. Somewhat focused, even?
I've been overdosing on the Dead C lately…some of their influence is certainly obvious.
A very small run of 10 tapes is now available!

Remedial Ineptitude
May, 2014 marked the 10th anniversary of KD's first tape, and originally I wasn't going to do anything to mark the occasion (due to the fact I'm not too fond of the pre-"Litost" output), but through the label putting out more digital releases of other Greensboro bands from the same "scene" as early KD…I begrudgingly offer this compilation of tracks taken from the first 8 albums, 2 EPs, and one track from a massive pile of outtakes (AKA "Pre-Death Tapes)..recorded between 2003-2008.
A lot of this material is acoustic by default, mostly because I prefer the convenience of recording at home and tend to live in small apartments, but have to be somewhat quiet…and most is too nice for my liking, but I'm too dang hard on myself so why not let others decide.
This comp was hastily compiled and sequenced in one night, and I'm sorry to say the levels of the tracks are not consistent…I just didn't want to spend that much time listening to this stuff…and also sorry to say that this album will be digital only, but only $1

Live Noise
Here's a couple minutes of video from an improv noise show we did in Feb., 2014, thanks to Carson for the first one where there's actually a song being played, "Hex Job," and to Taylor for filming the second one.

DIGITAL DINGOES- ///EP
New EP from the somewhat electro-pop project DIGITAL DINGOES
After the tongue-in-cheek shittiness of the first 2 EP's, I figured why not try to make the next one at least remotely listenable in a style that I'm still not all that comfortable with…and it is more listenable than the previous two.

RestOfTheDrumTracks/ DeadDrum (Sept. 2013)
New tape available now!
25 copies on grey-ish/ silvery tapes
with download code, random stuffings, and lyric sheet
available from Uuhngreh Schpuggenuh Records
C-30
The new album kinda came out like 2 E.P.s. First is "RestOfTheDrumTracks," which is just what the title implies. In early 2012 I recorded a tape full of drum parts, and this side features the last ones, which unsurprisingly are slower and longer, but it's good to break some from the norm. However, there were only enough drum tracks for one side, so side two became "DeadDrum," drum-less by default though some tracks include percussion from an old keyboard.

Dutch Comp.
Look-a-here! Another appearance on another fine compilation, courtesy of Lekker Kut Platenmaatschappij, from Groningen, Netherlands!
"Third issue of the Complicatie CD series. Focussing on sponteneous lowlevelness, delicate crappyness and demonstration-tape like quality in a positive way."
My kinduh philosophy, there...
Limited to 50 CDRs in custom metal cases (or download from bandcamp) featuring: The Bomber Jackets (incl. members of The Pheromoans), Year of Birds, Ivan the Tolerable, Guinea Worms, Hun Bed, Earth Control, Drvg Cvltvre, Die Nerven, and many more! Great stuff here, have a listen:

3rd tape from Periscope Breath
Having used Gamelan records for background sounds for background music on the first two tapes, I decided to do a tape with some kind of traditional music from a different country for each track, with no attempt at synchronization at all.

Digital Dingoes
What happens when one man bands start to have spinoff projects? In this case they get dumber and dumber.
This "band" was started to make music I would not really want to play (same for cover art), let alone listen to...going all electronic and doing lot's of other shit I wouldn't want to do for KD, maybe even Periscope Breath...
It's weird, it's shitty...and free!
